Excessive Sweating (hyperhidrosis)

As you may see it on a TV commercial recently, excessive sweating is not only nuisance but also a social embarrassment. There are two types of excessive sweatings. One is more sweating generally on certain body parts such as forehead or nape area with warmer temperature or eating spicy food. Other is more sweating on a certain areas with stressful situation or anxiety. The first case is not that serious situation because there are people who perspire easily and it is considered normal. However, you can improve symptoms by reducing intake of spicy food or improving your digestive system (Small Intestine) to separate the solid and fluid part of the food and increasing the urine production. It is effective especially if you drink a lot of fluid during the meal and your bowel movement is loose or watery. Reducing fluid intake during the meal helps to restore the function of your intestine and make your bowel movement solid.
The second case would impact more on your social behavior since it is embarrassing to show wet hands or armpit with other people. It usually related to the stagnation of Liver energy and congestion of heat, especially on Heart. There are also other possibilities such as hormonal imbalance or spinal cord issues. Proper diet and acupuncture and/or herbal treatment can reduce the symptoms and restore your confidence with social activities.
